School Rules/Classroom Rules
Our school and classroom discipline plan observes the following rules:
1. Be Responsible.
2. Be Respectful.
3. Be Safe.
4. Be your Best.
To encourage students to follow our rules, I recognize acceptable behavior with praise and tickets to be used in our raffle on Fridays. If a student chooses to break a rule, the broken rule and when the offense occurred is noted on the Weekly Conduct and Work Habits Report sent home each Thursday. Sometimes a student needs to take a little time away from the group. That may occur in our classroom or a neighboring room. A conversation with the teacher will take place prior to rejoining the rest of the class to allow the opportunity to explain poor behavior and to put into action more acceptable behavior choices. A serious problem will prompt a trip to the office and/or phone call to a parent.
It is vital that you sign and send back the Weekly Conduct and Work Habits Report the following school day. This is my primary form of communication with you because it is filled out daily and goes home weekly. This discipline plan is used school wide and we need the attentive support of the parents to help each child be successful. This weekly communication will enable this plan to be triumphant with your consistent follow up of praise or consequence as you deem appropriate.
